Boise State University
During my time at Bosie State, I worked as a graphic designer at Idaho Policy Institute (a professional research institute, part of Boise State’s School of Public Service,) as well as the school’s Office of Information Technology. All design work completed at Boise State is in compliance with the school’s brand standards.
Idaho Policy Institute - Style Guide
At Idaho Policy Institute, my biggest project was designing their style guide. The team was looking to compile a short booklet of rules on writing reports, detailing proper use of terminology, citation, and other guidelines. Working alongside a committee of researchers responsible for the guide’s content, I was able to help create a 16 page reference document that has helped ensure quality and consistency across IPI’s publications.
The style guide in its entirety can be viewed here.
Office of Information Technology - Web Graphics
Many of the assignments I received at OIT involved creating graphics for web articles. These articles covered university and tech-related topics, such as new website systems and infrastructure, or how to get help using and/or checking out school technology. Many of these publications were time-sensitive, and my priority was to quickly generate clear and effective imagery to pair with each article I was assigned. Here is a sample of some of the graphics I created.
